Vauxhall/Opel VX220 2.2 16V

The VX220 was built and developed by Lotus as part of their previous partnership with GM. The original, with a 2.2 Vauxhall engine was a more torquey alternative to the Elise. However, the later 2 litre turbo unit gave a more impressive performance than the Lotus and at a lower price. It also offered drivers a better level of equipment with ABS and driver airbag as standard. A great drivers car and something of a bargin if you don’t mind missing out on the Lotus badge.
