Volkswagen Eos launched

Volkswagen Eos Convertible

After much publicity Volkswagen have now launched the Eos Coupe Convertible in the UK. The launch was made on the opening of the British International Motor Show and the car was well received.

VW claim that the Eos is set apart from competitors in the four seat Hard-top convertible market by being the only one to feature a sunroof. An unusual idea for a convertible car but VW see versatility as being a key feature. The sunroof is the front part of the 5 piece folding roof and will tilt or slide back.

Although the Eos could be mistaken for being a Golf convertible it was in fact designed as a new car from the ground up. This should provide a stable platform and certainly has more elegant lines than many of it's competitors.

The Eos comes with five engine options ranging from a 1.6 litre to a 3.2 litre V6. There is also a 2 litre turbo-diesel option which will be popular with company car buyers.
