The MX5 or Miata is the Father of the modern convertible. Back in the 1980′s the convertible market had lost its way and almost completely dried up. In 1989 Mazda created a new car based on the principles of the 1960′s sports car; a simple vehicle which is stylish and fun to drive but also affordable. It was an enormous hit and it is still the rule by which all other roadsters are judged.
Now in its third major revision it remains true to the original concept. It may have grown a few luxuries but it is still a simple, affordable and above all fun car to own and drive. The 2 litre is the more powerful of the two engines available; it is plenty quick enough without drinking too much fuel.
In 2009 The MX5 Miata received cosmetic updates including the latest Mazda family grinning front grill.

My car is a 2010 Grand Touring PRHT. It’s the 3 rd Miata we’ve had in the family – one of each generation . It’s the most comfortable, best all around model yet. The hardtop reduces unwanted wind noise which our previous versions (including a 1999 with removable hardtop) all suffered from with the top up.
