Saturn Sky
Based on GMs Kappa automobile platform which it shares with the Pontiac Solstice, the Sky was launched in 2006. The rear wheel drive sportscar design is obviously designed to compete with the highly successful Mazda Miata. As a contender The Saturn Sky is certainly an exciting and attractive vehicle but on other levels it may not be so class leading. Interior and luggage space are minimal but then practicality may not be the first thing on buyer's minds.
The Delaware plant where the Sky was built was closed in 2009 while GM looks for a buyer for the Saturn brand.
