The sporty Abarth 500C is great fun to drive with its turbo charged engine. It’s a proper hot hatch with the added bonus of a convertible top. The price has come down a little but it is still rather expensive particularly when you see how much fun can be had in the TwinAir Fiat 500C for a lot less. The Abarth brand, interior and styling do go along way to make it feel special though.
The Fiat 500 Convertible is unashamedly retro but that’s no bad thing. Rather than following the herd and trying to squeeze a folding hardtop into the little car Fiat have instead kept the door pillars in the same style as the cult classic 1950′s Nuova, and fitted a soft top in between. The original managed to combine a movie star chic with mass market practicality. The new car looks to repeat this and with it’s super efficient engines appeals to the bank account as well as the heart.
