The AMG SL is now only available with a V8 engine with the larger and heavier V12 being fazed out. The Mercedes SL63 AMG has a new larger V8 which is both smooth and powerful. So powerful that it’s hard to understand why you should want any more power. Performance figures almost match the old Mercedes SL 600 but the lighter AMG engine makes for a more agile drive.
Best of all, the Mercedes SL63 AMG is rather more subtle than the SLS Roadster allowing drivers to enjoy exclusivity and performance without drawing too much attention to themselves.
