Mercedes Benz SL AMG
The AMG SL comes in two rather different versions. They may look similar but under the bonnet the engines are very different animas. The 63 AMG has a new larger V8 which is smooth and powerful. So powerful that it's hard to understand why you should want any more power. Performance figures almost match the standard Mercedes SL 600 but the lighter AMG engine makes for a more agile drive.
The 65 AMG though has such an excess of grunt that this gentlemanly car seems more like a rollercoaster. The difference is that the AMG 65 has a V12 with twin turbochargers giving it monstrous bursts of power and torque. A rhinoceros in wolf's clothing.
