Based on the BMW 6-Series, the Alpina B6 Convertible offers an extra level of performance, refinement and exclusivity. The hugely powerful engine dominates the driving experience. It even puts the BMW M6 in the shade while feeling that bit more special.

The eight-speed ZF transmission has been adjusted to prevent early up-shifts and keep the music from the quad-pipe titanium Akrapovic exhaust system flowing. The B6 is clearly at home on the autobahn where it can really stretch its legs but it can also be fun on more testing routes. It is a heavy car however, nudging 2 tonnes and this can’t be completely hidden by the big brakes and clever suspension.
The interior is beautifully trimmed in soft leather that gives it a more exclusive feel compare with the standard BMW. There are special blue dials set into the dashboard and Alpina’s badging to remind you that you are travelling in something rare and upmarket. On the outside, the 20-inch turbine alloy wheels mark set the Alpina B6 Convertible apart as well as the unique front spoiler which helps reduce lift for more stable fast cruising. The options list allows customers to further modify their car with a large rear wing if the standard model is too subtle.
The roof is a sophisticated insulated fabric setup that looks great and works well.
The price is high but the Alpina is such a capable car and the upgrades so professionally done that it is hard to argue that it is not worth the extra over even an M6. The ability to have it maintained at any BMW main agent will make it attractive to those who might otherwise choose something from
