The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster makes a great convertible losing none of the coupe’s abilities and looking even better. The performance is immense but plays second fiddle to the car’s road presence. If you want to attract maximum attention this is the car to do it in. True to form for Lamborghini, the Aventador may look impressive in pictures but among everyday traffic it is quite shocking. The normally aspirated V12 engine sounds wonderful and adds to the sense of occasion of this first class act of supercar theatre.
The removable hardtop roof is made up of two carbon fibre panels that pop in and out manually. The design moves away from the sophisticated folding designs of competitors to ensure the Aventador Roadster loses none of its looks.
Considering its scary predecessors, it comes as a surprise to find the Aventador’s handling is safe and highly capable. It’s not track-car lithe however which will suit the 99% of owners who will never push the car to its limits.
