2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet

We found it hard to believe when we first heard the news but now it’s here. The Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet was launched with its own Facebook page ahead of its first outing at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Our first impressions? It looks far better than we had imagined. Perhaps it’s the rendering but it looks more car-like than we expected and the transition to two doors and convertible roof have given it an unexpected sporty look. The Murano CrossCabriolet however will not be a sports car but it will fill a gap for a big, family friendly convertible. A gap in the market left by the demise of four seat convertible cars like the Toyota Camry Solara Convertible and Chrysler PT Cruiser.

We assume it will have a soft roof as it boasts room for golf bags (plural) with the top up or down. We look forward to learning more.
