Tokyo and LA Motor Show Round-up

This week were both the Tokyo and Los Angeles Motor/Auto Shows. While LA saw the latest BMW 4-Series Convertible in the flesh for the first time as well as the latest Porsche 911 Cabriolet (which as you might expect would take a serious enthusiast to tell apart from the 2013 model), the really interesting sights were in Japan.

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster Revealed

By the time the hardtop Lamborghini Veneno was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March the three cars planned for production had already sold. US Mini sales reach half a million but Roadster may be dropped

Mini have sold their 500,000th car in the United States after just 11 years. Initially there were doubts that a small car could succeed in North America however the combination of premium build quality, funky styling and a fun driving experience proved a great recipe. It also paved the way for other small car successes such as the Fiat 500 and its convertible sister the Fiat 500C.
