The Jaguar F-Type Roadster prototype made its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend. The still camouflaged convertible sports car was driven up the famous hill-climb event by Jaguar’s Head of Vehicle Integrity, Mike Cross.

Back in 2008 we reported on the Pininfarina designed Rolls-Royce Hyperion that was such a hit at that year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The car was built to order for Roland Hall, an avid Rolls-Royce collector by the Italian coachbuilder’s Special Projects division.

The latest Porsche 911 Cabriolet which goes on sale in March of 2012 has a new ‘intelligent’ lightweight folding soft-top roof. The fabric roof uses magnesium in its frame design to significantly reduce weight thus improving performance, fuel consumption and lowering the centre of gravity.

Jaguar has confirmed that the rumoured Jaguar XKR-S Convertible will be first unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th 2011. The Jaguar XK Convertible is a handsome tourer with great handling, smooth power delivery with a great sound. In comparison the XKR-S looses its upmarket composure for a new raw edge.
