The Frankfurt Show turned out to be a convertible-fest with a slew of new cars and concepts from manufacturers worldwide. We take a look at the most interesting cabriolets and roadsters on offer from the latest Mercedes and Ferrari super cars down to more everyday convertibles.

Land Rover have given us the first taste of the successor to the long-lived Defender model at the Frankfurt Show. Two concepts have been shown, a hardtop and a convertible model. Although this one is sure to raise eyebrows of the traditionalist 4×4 owners it certainly wouldn’t be the first convertible Land Rover and we can see a development of this more modern car selling well.

2 Million new Minis have been built over the last ten years after the first car. The Mini 2 Million is a special edition convertible (of course!) and will be the prize in a global competition.

Bentley’s convertible Continental has a thorough makeover to keep it inline with the latest coupe. It may not look much different but the sum of the changes create a well balanced new car.

Ferrari have launched the car we have been waiting for since the arrival of the 458 Italia: the convertible version, the Ferrari 458 Spider. The new car raises some eyebrows by using a folding hardtop roof for the first time on a mid-engined sports car.
